How to Install the Shock Pad for Artificial Grass?

Material for Installation:

1.5m * 50m Shock Pad; Artificial Grass; Seaming Tape/ Glue

The Advantage and Shortcoming for different Installation Method:

 1. Using Seaming Tape: The shock pad will be Thermal expansion and cold contraction due to the weather when we install it. (High density will be lower contraction rate).

Size: 25cm * 8cm / Piece

Remark: The interval between 2psc of seaming tape is 1.3 meters

A.The seaming tape lay with the same direction with the shock pad, joint 2 pcs of the shock pad with the seaming tape, the interval between 2 psc of seaming tape is 1.3 meters. Generally, the width of artificial grass is 4 meters, so when we joint 3 pcs of shock pad together, we have to put the grass on the shock pad immediately in order to prevent the thermal expansion and cold contraction. (Attention: Have to lay the artificial grass immediately when we joint the shock pad).

B.The grass is removable if we using the seaming tape.

2.Ordinary seaming tape: The adhesion is not so strong, and it is easy to fall of when the temperature is high, and also will be thermal expansion and cold contraction.

A.This type of seaming tape also lay with the same direction with the shock pad, joint 2pcs of the shock pad with the seaming tape, it is almost overspread. Generally, the width of artificial grass is 4 meters, so when we joint 3 pcs of shock pad together, we have to put the grass on the shock pad immediately in order to prevent the thermal expansion and cold contraction. (Attention: Have to lay the artificial grass immediately when we joint the shock pad).

B.The grass is removable if we using the ordinary seaming tape.

3.Using the glue for artificial grass: 10cm ~ 15cm between the 2 pcs of the shock pad, let the glue onto the concrete floor, it will reduce the contraction rate of the shock pad, and it will dilate when it is hot weather, and lay the artificial grass on it is fine.

Advantage of seaming by glue: We can lay the grass when the shock pad installation is finished;

Shortcoming of seaming by glue: The shock pad is not removable.
